A very warm spell this week was accompanied by rain as well. Despite that, areas at higher elevations and northern zones are still reporting skiable conditions. Prospect Mountain has decent skiing, but the best locations seem to be in the Adirondacks and Green Mountains.
This post is about conditions for Feb. 16, 2023, and forecast for the next few days. See jump links to Conditions and Forecast.
Conditions
Springlike conditions meant ‘fast and firm’ mornings, with softening and damp trails in the afternoons.
Hit up ‘State of the touring centers‘ or in the menu above for reported conditions as of today. Snow depth graphic below shows how thin the cover is getting.

Forecast
A last rainfall tonight will give way to cooling weather for the weekend. There could be some light snow in the far north, but with little accumulation. The cool temps will give way again toward somewhat warmer and springlike days, but not as warm as this week.
Multiple fronts will impact the region during the coming week, bringing rain in the earlier part of the week, and then more precipitation for midweek and after that could result in some snow for most of upstate NY and New England starting Wednesday evening into Thursday.
