12/17 update

A major snowfall event over the past couple of days for sure! Peak accumulations happened a bit north of predictions earlier in the week, so the Adirondacks, Berkshires, and Green Mountains got up to 2 feet. Could be a very happy holiday week coming up.

The snow came down wet and heavy, causing power outages and debris from weight of snow. Plowing and grooming such snow is proving challenging, so some touring centers are opening on lat today or Sunday.

Minnewaska, Mohonk, and High Point are all open, with skiable conditions as of today.

BETA report as of 12/16 says the snow is like ‘Sierra cement’

The ‘State of the touring centers‘ has been updated to reflect newer info, especially now that touring centers in the White Mountains have updated their sites.
