Gone public

Generally speaking, I’m a pretty private person. This blog has been written in the form of a personal journal, as if each entry were a ‘message in a bottle’ without expectation of return.

And I wasn’t really expecting Fasterskier to contact me as a result of an email I sent in response to the open call of ‘Time to Listen and Learn‘. I figured I might get a return email like a ‘thanks for your suggestions’.

Instead, I got an offer to do a piece on myself and guiding for Ski for Light, and the result was just published. As a person who believes literally everyone would be healthier and happier if they went cross country skiing, I couldn’t say no. At the same time, I had a feeling akin to the one you have when speaking in public in front of an audience. Fortunately I got some good editorial advice at home and from Jason at Fasterskier.

So that’s a bit of what I’m doing during our coronavirus summer. Stay healthy. Thanks for reading.
