By now you have heard the NYC area could get 5-9″ of snow overnight, with lesser amounts as you go farther north. While there’s uncertainty in the rain/snow line, it seems pretty certain we’ll get some snow.

Minnewaska and Mohonk stand to get a nice freshening of their trails. Will Fahnestock get enough to open? Maybe. Will the snow stay till the weekend? Very possibly, since temps are going to be cooler than normal through the midweek. Grooming helps maintain skiability as long as there’s enough base.

This would be an excellent week to be retired or freelance.
