Wednesday January 24 ski(?) conditions

Summary

Daytime temps are above freezing across the entire region and will stay that way through the weekend. Everything south of Albany has closed their trails. There’s a chance that Mt. van Hoevenburg will still have some trails open this weekend, and Osceola Tug Hill may actually get some new (wet) snow. As of midweek Lapland Lake is hanging on with a thinning base. Even in Minneapolis where the XC Master’s is going on, temps similar to the eastern US. But at least they got 7″ of new snow on Monday.

Outlook for week of Jan. 30

The 10-day forecast shows temps going back below freezing next week, but popping above for Groundhog Day weekend.

Bike, hike or whatever. Make what you can out of what you got.
