Snow. And rain, And possibly freezing rain. Yay – it’s winter in the northeast again!
Cross-country skiing is not happening, although there’s a bit of downhill skiing going on in the Northeast Kingdom, and maybe a couple of other spots of the far north.
Forecast
Cool weather is persisting over the next couple of days, but daytime temps will be above freezig except maybe at elevation. Northwesterly winds are bringing a series of ‘troughs’ and chances of precipitation through the weekend. Cooler weather coming for the first part of next week.
Tug Hill is getting the best of the snow for now, due to the predominating wind direction, the arctic air mass location, and attendant lake effect snow.

- Thursday looks like the coldest day across all regions.
- Weekend warming trend.
- Snow chances are limited to higher elevations midweek.
