Late start for winter, and a long goodbye. Mother Nature is keeping us guessing.
Warm weather and rain showers across the region have caused a cessation to grooming or a decision to close trails, and the snowpack will get only a little relief on the weekend with slightly cooler temperatures.
The better news is that the weekend will be drier, if breezy. What snow remains may be damp and icy, but will soften quickly during the daytime. Hit up ‘State of the touring centers‘ or in the menu above for reported conditions as of today.
Sunday and Monday will be the best days of the coming week, with dry conditions and more-or-less seasonable temperatures.
By late Tuesday or early Wednesday of next week, a series of systems set up the possibility of rain, win try mix, and snow (lartely elevation-dependent). How likely and how much still not predicted.
