Best spots to ski are Mt Van Hoevenberg and Northeast Kingdom. Disappointing weather so far this month has teased hopes of winter on one day, only to take it away a few days later.

Conditions

Sketchy conditions at the few places that have skiable conditions, but the well-prepared centers have snowmaking, snow farming, and the equipment to keep things going despite the variability.

Forecast

Rising temperatures precedes precipitation in the forecast for Sunday into Monday. Rain and melting of the snowpack could lead to significant runoff.

Cooling temperatures late Monday will change precipitation across higher elevations of the north country to snow, and there could be snow showers continuting into Tuesday afternoon. It is unlikely for there to be much accumulation, but let’s see what happens.

Unfortunately, temperatures will begin rising again on Wednesday as drier conditions prevail, and temperatures will be ‘near normal’.
